Cyber advertised already

Published by Craig Stewart on

Jumping for joy today when we noticed that a big company was advertising under our name. If you Google ‘cobooking’ you might get an advert for another much bigger company. As you might have noticed we are quite different from that company, kind of opposites really.

We are super impressed by the speed with which they have put up their advert and also quite flattered that we are considered worthy.

We know that some OTAs heavily advertise under the name of accommodation businesses and this drains the accommodation of their direct bookings. It’s different from what has happened to us their brand jacking is a very dastardly practise which we should all fight because direct booking is what we all want.

I do wish that this company would stick to advertising under its own name its rich enough.

Let’s hope that we can worry the OTAs little (preferably a lot) in the years ahead. They certainly need to worry after the way they have treated small accommodation providers over the last few months.

Can you stop them from doing this? i.e brandjacking your name?

What a waste of advertising money. There’s no way that anyone searching for cobooking would click the booking advert. It just highlights 1. How little they know their targets 2. Dirty Tricks 3. Threat to their business
